Smart Kids Tutoring Center is continually seeking qualified and committed
individuals in a variety of academic disciplines to work as an Assistant
Manager (2 positions available). Some of the BENEFITS you would gain being

As a Smart Kids Assistant Manager, you will work under the supervision of
the Center Director providing content/skills tutoring in a variety of
required lower- and upper-division General Education and major courses to
elementary students on both an individual and small group basis.
Some of your TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES as a Smart Kids Assistant
Manager would include:
? Assessing individual student needs, prior knowledge, skills, and previous
experiences;
? Working with a digital self-taught software program in an interactive
fashion, explaining or demonstrating what the student needs to know,
understand, or do based upon what the student already knows, understands,
and can do on his or her own;
? Guiding student participation, evaluating student performance, and
providing appropriate feedback and encouragement;
? Maintaining neat, up-to-date, accurate, and complete records;
? Making presentations and recruiting students to use the Center;
? Attending scheduled meetings and training sessions.

Other QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS to be a Smart Kids Assistant Manager
include:
Command of the English and Chinese Language (Mandarin & Cantonese). Spanish
is a plus.
-- Scheduling:
Assistant Managers must arrange a regular work schedule with the Center
faculty which will not interfere with their coursework. Assistant Managers
may work a maximum of 5 hours and a maximum of 25 hours per week and must
work at least three days per week.
