This two session workshop is offered to introduce Duke International
Graduate Students to helpful strategies for success. Often, culture
shock occurs when international students first arrive to graduate
school, facing a new place, a different culture, and being surrounded
by unfamiliar language. This 2 part workshop is
designed to help you navigate the unique challenges of being an
International Graduate Student, help you remain confident in the
contributions you make by coming to this institution to study. Please
join us to learn how to hold on to -- and expand -- your confidence
and competence and to feel connected to the Duke community and the
