As a student who will be entering a profession after graduation, how
do you represent yourself online? In this interactive workshop, we
will explore basic design principles, standard conventions and best
practices for maintaining a professional web presence. This is the
first of two workshops in a series; in the follow-up session, you will
be able to get hands-on experience with Dreamweaver. Hugh Crumley of
the Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) will lead this workshop.

Creating and publishing a professional portfolio

Learn how to implement the design tips from WiSE's previous event on
online portfolios. This hands-on session is designed to teach
beginners the basics of creating a website using Dreamweaver with
pre-created templates and publishing it to the Duke personal web
server. Feel free to bring digital files (photos, resume,
research/project info) either stored in webfiles.duke.edu or on a
flash drive, so you can get started on your own professional portfolio
while in the session. Christine Vucinich of the Office of Information
