Professor Gang Yue received his Ph.D in Comparative Literature from the
University of Oregon in 1993. He teaches courses in Chinese language,
modern Chinese literature and cultural studies, and Asian American
studies. His current research is concerned with Chinese cultural
production of Tibetan themes, the development of the "Shangri-La"
eco-tourism zone in Eastern Tibet, and recent social changes in the
multi-ethnic regions of Western China.
